Machine Maintenance Technician

Job Role:

Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.

• Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
• Cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, inspects completed repairs and returns equipment to specifications.
• Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
• Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

Basic Qualifications (BQs)

Education and Experience:

• 18 years old and eligible to work in the USA with 2 years prior machine maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment.
• Use of basic hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of machine tools and their use.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

Education: HS/GED

Experience: 3+ years prior machine maintenance experience.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications.
