Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to operate moderately complex post-press equipment, performing intermediate to advanced tasks. This role will require the operator to manage multiple product types and perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have basic to intermediate computer skills and the ability to handle various tasks in the bindery environment efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Post-Press Operations: Operate Advent Machines, cutting equipment, and other bindery equipment. Perform handwork, 3-hole drilling, and packing as needed.
• Press Setup & Maintenance: Perform a complete and efficient setup of the press, including monitoring and maintaining equipment, ensuring stock areas are stocked with necessary supplies, checking order shipments, stamping and proofreading customer orders, and generating labels.
• Job Execution: Understand and follow order instructions while ensuring the press runs productively and meets the job’s requirements, including ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, and other attributes to exceed customer expectations.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve production issues by adjusting the process to meet specifications and notify the Team Manager when additional information or resources are required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 3 years of warehouse experience and 1 year of plating experience.
• Strong PC knowledge and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and location.
